360 Walkmix Creator allows the ability to maximize sound pressure by allowing a configurable global limiter to be applied to the master output in conjunction with an automated level scan applied post export to each exported level.

To enable the global limiter:

In Focus View: Directly above the master output meter is the power icon for the limiter. When clicked, it enables the limiter and opens the limiter control interface.

In Compact View: At the top of the plugin window to the left of the master output meter is the power icon for the limiter. When clicked, it enables the limiter and opens the limiter control interface.

Configurable parameters

Gain:

Also called “Input gain,” This parameter represents the amount of input gain being channeled through the limiter. A higher value for this parameter produces a louder master output and more gain reduction across the limiter.

Release: This parameter affects the amount of time it takes for transients to return to their prelimited or pre-compressed state.

Output: Also called “Output ceiling,” this parameter determines the intended cutoff threshold for loudness out of the limiter.

Lookahead: This parameter represents the amount of time the limiter can “look ahead” in the audio signal to determine loudness peaks. This allows the limiter to better predict transient information and provide smoother attack. A higher Lookahead value will produce better quality output but could potentially cause latency in a real-time mixing environment. For mixing, it is advised to check this setting if any unexpected latency occurs when using the limiter during realtime playback. For exporting, the Lookahead parameter can be set to the maximum value as realtime latency isn’t a consideration.
