Renaming a group

To rename an object group, select the object or group you wish to rename and then click the text in the properties. Initially, groups are created by adding the 360 WalkMix Creator plugin to your audio tracks.

Changing the object or group color

To change the color of an object or group, select the group or object you wish to change the color of and click next to “Color” in the properties pane.

Change the placement of the object in 3D space

You can manipulate the Gain, Elevation, and Azimuth of the objects in several ways:

  1. For azimuth and elevation, you can click on the object in the 3d view or top-down view and drag it into your desired position.
  2. You can select the object or group of objects in either of the viewports or via the objects list and click and drag up or down on either the Elevation or Azimuth to increment or decrement the value respectively.
  3. You can also click in the Track, Elevation, Azimuth, or Gain values, and type the value you would like to adjust. A single click will allow you to type a value, a click, hold and drag will allow you to increment or decrement the value.
  4. If you are accustomed to working with stereo objects, you can use the width feature to move multiple objects relative to the center of the group, horizontally.

Displaying Speaker Layout

Although you can edit the speaker layout in the settings pane, you can toggle displaying your speaker layout in the editing views by clicking the speaker Icon above the viewport.

Changing to Focus View

If you are planning to focus on object editing, you can maximize the plugin window and enter “Focus View” by clicking the maximize icon in the plugin window:

This will maximize the plugin and change the layout of the controls to include horizontal object sliders.

If you are using a multi-monitor setup, it is highly advised to move the plugin window to the desired screen before entering the focus view. To return to plugin view, click the minimize/restore icon.
If you are having trouble window switching with hotkeys while the focus view is active, switch back to plugin view and proceed.

Changing object gain

You can edit individual object gain or edit group gain by clicking and dragging the gain slider that corresponds to the object or group.

To quickly reset gain to 0db:

  • On Windows®: Hold Alt and click on the gain slider.
  • On macOS: Hold option (alt) and click on the gain slider.

Working with stereo objects

By default, objects can be freely moved in the 3d viewport. If you are accustomed to working with stereo links, you can lock the group via the lock icon and use the width slider to change the object spread. To return to freely moving the objects, you must unlock the objects or group.
